Mum came up today to have lunch with us. We went out to do some retail therapy, I took her to my new favourite shop which is a little gift shop attached to a nursery which is just divine, I resisted (because I don't have any money) Mum bought herself a few lovely things for her house and a gift for me.
I had some exciting news today, I have been selected as a winner of round two of Premier's Teacher of the Year award. I'm really proud and pleased about that but to be honest a bit embarrassed too, there are many, many more deserving teachers, I was lucky to have been nominated with a really well written nomination. Anyway, Yippee!! I also get $1,000 and go along to a breakfast with other winners on the 3rd December.
Dave's parents came up for the day yesterday with his uncle and aunty from England. This is their first time in Australia and they've only been here a couple of days. They had been very lucky to have a couple of days of perfect weather to arrive to. We spent a lot of the day sitting out on the balcony drinking wine and eating too much food - again. After lunch we went up to Araleun and spent a couple of hours strolling through the gardens - the wisteria is beautiful at the moment.
Today the weather has been awful, tomorrow I'm heading up to a friend's for lunch, hopefully that beautiful weather will return.
